The Square Geometric Iron Dish
These forged Dishes feature a ‘Geometric’ design and have a contemporary polished finish. Perfect for a 6th anniversary gift.
Used as either a stand alone sculptural centrepiece, or to hold everyday or treasured items , this dish will serve you well for generations – a family heirloom!
Each side of the dish measures 170mm (6.75″) and the bowl stands 35mm (1.5″) high. They are forged from 5mm Iron sheet and each one weighs approximately 900g (2Ibs)
How They’re Made? A quick summary!
The Iron is cut to shape and heated, then the geometric design is carefully added using a hot chisel & hand hammer. Over repeated ‘heats’, the dish shape is then forged using traditional tools and techniques.
Once the dish is formed the upper surface is cleaned and polished to a high shine. Finally, a satin lustre is achieved by hand polishing before several coats of Renaissance wax are applied to form a protective and attractive patina.
They are ‘signed’ on the base using the Coach House Forge touchmark and all dishes will be sent in gift boxes ready to gift.
