The Small Steel Bowl
Here at the Coach House Forge we make many different sizes of Steel bowls, this one is our smallest. It come in 2 different finishes, smooth or hammered.
The Smooth bowl has a contemporary finish, we use a 19th Century, hand-operated Fly Press – the result is a perfectly smooth appearance that shows off the hues of the metal.
The Hammered bowl is made by repeated heating and hammering using traditional tools, skills and experience. This leaves a beautiful textured rustic finish.
Each Bowl is ‘signed’ on the base using the Coach House Forge makers mark. The surface is treated with several coats of ‘Renaissance Wax’ to create an attractive and protective patina. The real beauty of the steel shines through.
With a flattened bottom for stability, this bowl will sit perfectly and hold rings, earrings, cuff links, ear-buds, and all our everyday treasures.
Interestingly, each bowl rings like a bell if tapped on the rim – used to announce dinner time in my house!
These metal bowls are really substantial and will last for generations!

Perfect for rings, earrings – 92mm (3 3/4″) diameter, 25mm (1″) high, 3mm (1/8″ ) thick, 250g (1/2 Ib) in weight.

Your steel bowl can be personalised to create a totally unique gift. We hand stamp your message using individual vintage letter & number punches.
Smooth bowls are stamped with our contemporary font while the hammered bowls suit the classic font.
