The Medium Fold Dish
The 11th Anniversary Medium fold dish has a diameter measuring 200mm (8″) and the dish stands 30mm (1″) high. They are forged from 3mm (1/8th”) Steel stock and each one weighs approximately 800g (1.8 Ibs)
The red hot Steel is folded over and carefully hammered down the seam before being ‘unfolded’ back, revealing the raised fold effect.
The dish shape is then formed using a raw-hide mallet so there are no hammer marks on the metal – this ensures the smooth contemporary finish. The base is flattened a little to stabilise the dish.
We finish the dish with Beeswax to create a protective and attractive ‘gun-metal’ appearance.
Each Bowl is ‘signed’ on the base using the Coach House Forge makers mark.
Whatever the occasion or setting, this unique dish will not fail to impress!
