“XI” Medium Round Smooth Bowl
Here at the Coach House Forge we make many different sizes of bowls, this one is our medium sized bowl in a smooth finish stamped with “XI”.
The Smooth bowl has a contemporary finish, we use a 19th Century, hand-operated Fly Press – the result is a perfectly smooth appearance that shows off the hues of the metal.
Each Bowl is ‘signed’ on the base using the Coach House Forge makers mark. The surface is treated with several coats of ‘Renaissance Wax’ to create an attractive and protective patina. The real beauty of the iron shines through.
The bowl is designed to have a small flattened base so it can sit proudly on your nightstand, mantelpiece, office desk or entrance table; just the right size for watches, keys, earbuds, jewellery, loose change… The perfect catch-all for all our everyday treasures!
Interestingly, each bowl rings like a bell if tapped on the rim – used to announce dinner time in my house!
These metal bowls are really substantial and will last for generations!
