“Grow old with me, the best is yet to be” Small Smooth Bowl
Here at the Coach House Forge we make many different sizes of bowls, this one is our smallest. It come in a smooth finish hand stamped with “Grow old with me, the best is yet to be”.
The Smooth bowl has a contemporary finish, we use a 19th Century, hand-operated Fly Press – the result is a perfectly smooth appearance that shows off the hues of the metal.
Each Bowl is ‘signed’ on the base using the Coach House Forge makers mark. The surface is treated with several coats of ‘Renaissance Wax’ to create an attractive and protective patina. The real beauty of the iron shines through.
With a flattened bottom for stability, this bowl will sit perfectly and hold rings, earrings, cuff links, ear-buds, and all our everyday treasures.
Interestingly, each bowl rings like a bell if tapped on the rim – used to announce dinner time in my house!
These metal bowls are really substantial and will last for generations!
